My setup is incredibly minimalistic, consisting of a MacBook Air and a plain mattress on the floor. I do almost all my work from here, and like to keep it clean and simple. Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.
That looks like a loft I used to live in (Chicago west-loop).
One thing that's massively important here is how bad of an idea it is to have your place of rest/sleep be the same as the place you work. I had sleep problems for years because I used to work in my bed- brains associate places with tasks- evidently working in bed is bad 'sleep hygiene'.
That being said- if you were to get a different bed or a super comfortable couch, you'd be in way better shape.
