Killing " - Shortcut" in Windows
I really hate it when creating a new shortcut in Windows that the system appends "- Shortcut
" to the end of the new name. I really hate it. So I hunted until I found a way to kill it.

First, back up your registry. I can't emphasize this enough.

Start
→ Run
→ "regedit
"

Find this key:
Computer\HKEYCURRENTUSER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer

Click on the Explorer
folder, then in the right pane double-click on the key called "link
", and change the first set to "00
"

Log off and log back on (or restart)

Shazzam

Remember, kids:
Desktop jam affects everyone. Folders are free.
