How to show hidden files on your Mac (works for El Capitan, Sierra)

Open your terminal and just put this line of code in it:
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES

To see now the file just Hold Command+Alt (Option) and right-click Finder in your Dock. You will see an option to "Restart" it. Just do it and you will see all hidden files you need.
