Virtualisation installation (Ubuntu server)
When installing Ubuntu, before proceeding with the normal server installation, press F4, this will give you a drop down option to select an installation type. Included is the Virtualisation installation which includes a trimmed kernel and tweaks specific for running your server in a virtual environment. (Including VMWare ESXi).
Useless fact, but I didn't realise it till quite recently.
