If you already know about Package Manager for ST2 then skip to step 3

  • You can download and install package manager for Sublime Text 2.

  • then open package manager by pressing ctrl + shift + p on windows or cmd + shift + p on mac.

  • in the package manager window type pi (easy way to get to install package) and hit enter

  • search for Dotfiles Syntax Highlighting and install.

  • enjoy all sorts of dotfiles having shiny new syntax highlighting.

this package works for all sorts of .dotfiles, read the full list at the github repo

I wanted highlighting for .rb files and my .gitignore files which I am now quite happy with.

Enjoy
