I'll be graduating with a BS in Computer Science from the Raikes School of Computer Science and Management at UNL in May, 2013.

Over the last four years I've had some awesome opportunities. I've worked as part of the awesome engineering at WePay where I learned to ship code every week and iterate based on constant user feedback. I've learned about project management and battling scope creep through collaborating with PMs and developers at Microsoft to ship a Windows Phone 7 app connected to one of Microsoft's ERP products. I've learned some of the lessons of trying (and failing) to create a startup when I worked at an incubator called Nebraska Global with five other students to develop a social events planning website.

Now I'll be graduating very soon and I can't wait to take on bigger problems and harder challenges.

Some of my personal projects:

My current side project is a ruby on rails website called istorical (www.istorical.com). It's a community effort to learn what life is like in cities and countries all across the world. I've just finished the majority of the initial phase (webscraping Wikipedia and CIA worldfactbook), now I'm working on adding user-submitted content and a question and answer system like on Quora or Stack Overflow.

I also developed a visualization called econoviz (econoviz.apphb.com) that depicts select financials from thousands of companies as a clustered dot graph. The magnitude of each company's financial is represented by the radius of its dot. Please note: you can zoom in and out with your touchpad, mouse scrollwheel, or pinch-to-zoom!
