The founders of Waiakea believed in creating the first Hawaiian volcanic water that focused on health, sustainability, and ethical/socially minded initiatives. Waiakea Water is sourced from one of the purest environments on Earth; an aquafer at the base of Mauna Loa volcano on the big island of Hawaii. The water originates at the peak of the volcano, 14,000 feet above sea level, and is naturally filtered through porous lava rock. The water is bottled in 100% recycled polyethylene terephthalate (RPET) which is post-consumer recycled plastic which uses less energy and resources to manufacture than normal plastic bottles and reduces carbon emissions over 90%.
