Web Sharpen (Photoshop)

I have a Web Sharpen action, (which can be used for print as well), that can be used very easily by

1. copy original layer to new one
2. Filter > Other > Highlight High Pass > Radius: 1pixel
3. Set layer to ‘overlay’ blend mode
4. Decrease layer opacity to around 40-70% (see for yourself what works, 100% is too harsh imho)

This allows for sharpening really crisp, without really sharpening. In effect you’re adding more contrast to the edges in the picture.

By making an action out of this, this is a single-click edit, and you can use it in batch processing as well.
