AppStore icons and images

Since iPhone 5 was released, the documentation seems to have moved, used to be a plain pdf "itunesconnect_developerguide.pdf"....

Anyway, I thought it would be nice to put it in a nutshell here:
Note that the naming of images is now compulsory but will save you time as Xcode will find them automatically. Here's the rule:

<basename>-<url_scheme><scale_modifier><device_modifier>.png

And yeah use PNGs!!!

Icons:

Launch images:

  • Default-568h@2x.png (640 x 1136)
  • Default@2x.png (640 x 960) or Default~iphone.png
  • Default.png (320 x 480)
  • Default-Landscape~ipad.png (1024 x 748)
  • Default-Portrait~ipad.png (768 x 1004)
  • Default-Landscape@2x~ipad.png (2048 x 1496)
  • Default-Portrait@2x~ipad.png (1536 x 2008)

Note: For iPad launch images, do not include the status bar region.

For AppStore, you have to upload at least one screenshot, here is again the resolution, Apple advice not to include the status bar if your application is showing one.
