iOS custom font limit?

so... there seems to be a custom fonts limit in iOS. Having around more than 125ish custom fonts won't fly on the device.

On the simulator having 300+ fonts works, but when you run with it on a device you get an initial error:

"Critical failure: the LastResort font is unavailable." followed by other missing files errors.
