Thoughts on being a professional
- Don't use expletives (just because "all the cool kids do it"). They're really not needed.
- Think before you speak.
- Communicate your thoughts, not your neighbor's thoughts.
- Realize that others have probably tackled it before. Consult them. Learn from them. Deviate from them when it makes sense.
- Know why you're deviating, and be able to back it up.
- Be humble, but willing to "go to the mat" when you have to.
