Using Chrome's RSS Extension with Feedly

If you're one of the thousands of people who has recently switched to Feedly after Google announced retiring Reader, and you also happen to be one of the many users of Google Chrome, you may have noticed that subscribing to feeds in Feedly directly from Chrome is actually a bit tricky.

Chrome doesn't have any built-in support for RSS, you have to install the RSS Subscription Extension. But even that extension only has built-in support for adding directly to Reader, iGoogle, Bloglines, and My Yahoo. And adding your own requires knowing some arcane string with a %s.

Well, this is the string for Feedly:

http://www.feedly.com/home#subscription/feed/%s

Click Manage / Add, and use that URL and you'll be able to subscribe to feeds in Feedly directly from the extension.

And that's the end of 20+ minutes of futzing around with the various Feedly extensions. Thanks!

This string is no longer working for me. However, I seem to have found another that works:

http://feedly.com/i/subscription/feed/%s

I stumbled upon it on a Feedly help page
