Read Clean Code by Robert C. Martin
Seriously, I read this as a Sophomore in a CS program at Kansas State University and it has paid off time and time again. This book taught me more about programming than any University course I have ever taken, it changed my entire outlook on my craft. Even if you're fairly new at programming I recommend it highly.
