Integrating Rails and ElasticSearch

When we integrated Rails and ElasticSearch at Pose we tried all the out of the box options first. We then realized that the ecosystem was still young and didn't match our needs. We wound up writing our own Ruby client and a vastly different Rails integration than the out-of-the-box options we saw out there.
