bspwm -- a fresh, new tilling wm

bspwm is still under development and not yet stabel, but it is definitly woth a try. It has a few new features, including a manual tilling mode, which might sound not like what you want to have in a tilling window manager. But this mode allows you very easy, by selecting the spawing direction, fine grained controll of where to acutally put the windows.
