Remove spell-checking languages from Firefox on Ubuntu

By default, Firefox comes with 3 pre-installed spell-checking languages: English-US, English-UK and English-AU.

If you install more languages, spell-checking panel becomes overcrowded. I suppose you use only one of English language, so you can easily remove extra languages.

In order to remove pre-installed languages you need to:

  1. Open terminal (CTRL+ ALT + del)
  2. Launch explorer with root permissions (sudo nautilus)
  3. Browse to usr/share/hunspell/
  4. Remove languages you don't use
  5. Restart Firefox
