Speeding up your terminal in OSX by clearing ASL logs
Delete the Apple system log files in /var/log/asl/:
sudo rm /var/log/asl/*.asl

some explanation would be helpful, people may not blindly delete things.
Also, doesn't this only apply to the Terminal app?
I would use iTerm2 and not worry about this: http://www.iterm2.com
