Link to any page on a site without needing the exact URL

This is a trick that I've been using for a while but haven't seen anywhere else. It lets me link to pages on sites when I don't necessarily know the exact URL.

Most recently I used this on Typio to link to font pages on sites without guessable URL structures. On the Proxima Nova font page, for example, I wanted to be able to link to MyFonts. MyFonts include the font foundry in their page URLs, which I don't know from the data I have available. So I use Google as an intermediary.

To link to the Proxima Nova MyFonts page I use site:myfonts.com to limit the search scope to the site I want and btn1=I'm Feeling Lucky to redirect invisibly to the closest matching page for Proxima Nova. Cheeky but it works. The full URL looks like this:

http://google.com/search?btnI=I'm%20Feeling%20Lucky&q=Proxima%20Nova%20site:myfonts.com
