work first.

Upon arriving at the office, do some work.

Do some work, prior to setting up that new account, mailing list, or hairstyle.
Email may be fun and engaging, but if people really need you, they'll call or come find you.
If you open the door to your office, you might feel more accountable, and get more done.
Yes, someone might stop by to distract you, but they're just as likely to remind you to work.

For starters, just set up the work, and get started.
Fifteen minutes might be enough, an hour insufficient, or five minutes too long.
Regardless, you're there to do work, not to read the Internet or trim your toenails.
Do not make oatmeal, do not drink tea, do not pass 'GO'; do work.

This is especially true, the more you'd rather not.
