"LinkFacts is a free online mind mapping and concept mapping tool developed by Hubert Schumacher in Luxembourg. The main objective of the tool is to put forward the visual thinking method to organize your ideas. Mind maps are hierarchical representations of ideas. They are more and more used and known. Numerous tools such as mindmeister have an important place in this market. Mind maps are non-hierarchical and decentralized mind maps. They allow the user much more freedom to develop ideas. An important added value of LinkFacts is that you can switch from a mind map to a concept map at any time, whether the map was created by you or by another user. The maps, which we call ""graphs"", can be private for personal use, or public. One of the things that LinkFacts wants to develop is the free sharing of information on various topics through visual thinking (in a way becoming the Wikipedia of mind and concept maps). LinkFacts contains a library of community-created graphs that can be browsed at any time (https://one.linkfacts.link/). The graphs consist of ""nodes"" and ""connections"" linking the nodes. Nodes can be text, an image, a link, an icon, etc. It is possible to customize nodes and connections infinitely (change their size, color, etc.) and to add to any node or connection any kind of attributes (date, location, description, etc.). For example, we can have a ""father"" node, a ""mother"" node with attributes indicating the gender and date of birth of both people. We can then link these two nodes with a connection indicating ""married"". It is also possible to create graph ""views"", allowing the user to focus on a part of the graph for example, even if the graph was created by someone else (it remains a personal view). By adding views, it is possible to create a ""layer"" and to propose it to any user so that he has the same view on a graph. For example, on the graph https://one.linkfacts.link/us/mr25/g/SolvayConferencesOnPhysicsAndChemistry it is possible by clicking on the layers at the bottom right of the screen to see only the scientists who have won a Nobel Prize. A library of templates offers users pre-designed graph models, such as to-do lists, bibliographies, family trees, flowcharts, etc. Users can also upload media and create teams to collaborate on graphs. All the features of the tool are free but it is necessary to upgrade to an ""advanced"" or ""team"" plan described here: https://www.linkfacts.link/linkfacts-pricing/
As explained above, LinkFacts is a custom-developed tool, hosted at https://one.linkfacts.link, and has a Wordpress showcase site at: https://www.linkfacts.link. This site has landing pages dedicated to a type of use of the tool. In our opinion, LinkFacts can be used by teams, in companies, for personal use, for sharing information, in research, etc. I strongly encourage you to create a free account and try the tool if it helps you understand it better."
