Verizon users who are looking to migrate their accounts to Outlook will need to IMAP protocol and change the relevant email server settings in order to continue using their email. In the case of the outgoing mail server, or Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), users will need to enter “smtp.verizon.net” as the server settings field and “465” in the port settings field. If you do not configure the settings you will not be able to access your Verizon account in Outlook. You can also call the Verizon customer support number and clarify any doubts you may have about the configuration process.
