Shehas spent the last 15 years working in the nonprofit sec tor to better the lives of marginalized people and living my belief that we are all in this together. Her goal in any job is to leave things better than she found them using her talents and gifts. More than anything, Shehave a sense of urgency for helping anyone who is struggling.
Her sweet spot is in demonstrating how creative, innovative problem-solving around seemingly intractable social issues can drive success for business and society - progress but not at the cost of people.
In her most recent position, she provided executive leadership and worked to elevate a grassroots, single program agency into a multi-program, professional organization with a statewide presence. Through the facilitation of three mergers, she grew the agency operating budget five fold and tripled program reach.
Specialties: staff management including recruitment, hiring, training and coaching; program development; collaborative programming; identifying and utilizing evidence based practices to improve service delivery and outcomes; development of policies and procedures; grant writing/grants management for federal, state, local and private funding sources; solicitation of federal contracts; nonprofit merger; training; working with high-risk/marginalized populations including: low-income, homeless, individuals suffering from serious mental illness and substance abuse, and foster children.
