Looking to become a Junior Software Developer.
I am very passionate about Software Development and would embrace the opportunity to establish a long career in this field. I am currently working in Computer aided design (CAD) and looking to switch into the Software Development field and grow myself as a professional.
I am currently progressing, successfully, for the past 10 months through an Academy apprenticeship provided by Wolf Software Consultancy, based in North Shields and owned by Mr Marc Fowler. They are providing me with their own course modules which I am currently working through. I have spent time in their consultancy and keep in regular contact. I have been learning such technologies as C#, SQL Server, XAML, Visual Studio Community 2013 etc. Soon, as part of their training program, they will provide me with live projects to build. The training has taught me the importance of maintaining a professional standard within my coding as well as Object Oriented Programming fundamentals.
I have passed my BTEC in event driven programming using VB.Net at Newcastle College. To gain this qualification we studied the fundamentals of event driven programming and designed a final application for a small business. I created a Test plan, user guide, standards documentation, variable breakdown, user interface and code behind explanation and a final working solution and then a review.
I have started the Microsoft Technical Associate (MTA) in Software development and aim to have this completed by September/October 2015. This teaches the fundamentals of Software Development and OOP programming using C#, SQL Server, WPF, XAML etc.
My aim is to progress straight onto the Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) once the MTA is completed.
My ultimate goal is to become an experienced and professional Software Developer as this is my passion.
I am passionate about programming and problem solving and I am a determined individual.
I bring hard work and energy, strong commercial awareness, Problem solving ability and can project co-ordinate.
I fully appreciate how technology is changing peoples’ lives for the better and want to be a part of that process.
