My favorite was when I was interviewing for a Linux Engineering position. I was in front of a panel of people, and one of them handed me a laptop with a VM on it. The VM wouldn't boot because somebody went in beforehand and typoed one of the boot parameters in the grub configuration. That was the "Trick" I was supposed to catch. Mind you, not getting the first question whilest sitting in front of three people staring you down is kind of a mind f#&k for the rest of the interview...
