Getting unstuck in your design

Sometimes you're just sweating details in your current design.

Yesterday I found myself sweating design details on a submenu on a project. After wasting sometime in coding a dropdown menu I found myself going back to the first option I created the day before. But I still didn't feel good about it.

Today I got back to work on the project and the way I left it yesterday made so much more sense.

Purposely I don't look for inspiration and examples when solving a design problem. They provide too much detail you will be tempted to implement.

So when you find yourself desperately looking for a solution to a design problem, consider putting it aside. After a good night of sleep, everything will look different in the morning!
