PHP the right way
I know everyone seems to be complaining about PHP lately, but I still believe that the language is extremely powerful and flexible when writing web applications.
In fact I am building some systems using PHP right now.

Great guide for beginners. It will put them in the right path with the latest with PHP. I would add up a couple other things there (like how to use a VM) but let's keep it simple.
Note: all the people that I know that complains about PHP also believe that PHP version is 3.2 :P

Thx, I think that PHP is a powerfull language, It's extremly easy to use, and when you have a well setted environement it go to fast : I build this site nannonce.com in a 5 days (Working only 2 to 3 hours per night) ..
