Open an SSH Connection Using an Intermediate Node
For opening an SSH connection for which we need an intermediate node (e.g., the final node is behind a firewall but the intermediate node is not), we have to start ssh as follows
ssh -t -t INTERMEDIATE_NODE ssh FINAL_NODE
