Why I chose Go?

Since almost everyone is posting one of these, I will just throw in mine too. The reason I chose Go for my display analytic's startup was "The Go Paradox" which you can read more about here by Paul Graham: The Python Paradox. One More Thing. While reading replace "python" with "go" and "java" with "python or ruby or even java". The reasons noted by PG are valid for start-ups and established companies alike, but I think as a start-up I would rather hire active programmers than the other one's. This is apart from other obvious benefits : fast, low memory footprint, low learning curve(just trust me and take the tour) and beautiful concurrency model.
