How to check your site for good visual hierarchy

It's important to have hierarchy on a web page.

One quick way to check your visual hierarchy is to blur your vision while looking at the screen, and ensure the elements that you want to stand out do stand out.

Alternatively import a screenshot into Photoshop and apply a Gaussian Blur to it. Now you can analyze it in more detail.
