I enjoyed an apprenticeship with Rolls-Royce who taught me to design and make things of beauty that are fit for purpose. They sponsored me as an undergraduate and to do a PhD in computer modelling. I have worked as a project leader in the software industry and as an academic at a top UK University where I spend a day each week teaching software skills. I spend the rest of my time developing inovative software for government and industry. I enjoy producing Apps in Cocoa of iOS and Mac OS X as well as enterprise applications in Java or C++.
