In 1996, based in Leeds, Chris Salisbury founded Canvasman in the tiny cellar of his Victorian terraced house. From its humble beginnings as a one-man-band, the company has since grown to a dedicated team of expert designers, cutters, sewers and fitters, now based in the charming Yorkshire town of Baildon. As well as boat covers, we also design and manufacture shade sails, shop canopies, vehicle Covers and much more. Furthermore, we’re now able to offer a full refit and upholstery service to complement our covers.
Why Do You Need a Boat Cover? 🌧️🛡️
Boats are constantly exposed to harsh environmental conditions. Without the proper protection, the sun, rain, and wind can cause serious damage. A waterproof boat cover shields your boat from the following:
Weather Damage 🌧️🔥
Rain, UV rays, and snow can cause fading, cracking, and deterioration of your boat's surface. A boat cover provides a protective barrier, preventing weather-related damage.Mold and Mildew 🦠
Stagnant water and moisture can lead to mold and mildew buildup inside your boat. A well-fitted boat canopy or cover keeps your boat dry and mildew-free, ensuring a clean interior.Debris Protection 🍂
Leaves, bird droppings, dirt, and other debris can accumulate in your boat if left uncovered. These contaminants not only make your boat dirty but can also cause long-term damage to upholstery and other surfaces.
