“Simple and Straightforward”
What do you like about the vendor?
I love how Solar Wind is easy to use. I also love the idea of paying per use in relation to the number of data streams.
What do you dislike about the vendor?
Compared to NPM or WUG, it is easy to operate and can be used at a lower price, however, it's not as good as the other two. Using configuration and setup is also a bit complex.
What problems does the vendor solve for you? How does it compare to other solutions you have tried?
It’s very simple with only 2 clicks and voila! Simple straightforward with alerts and attributes tab.
What is SolarWinds?
SolarWinds provides an APM tool focused on deriving information on .NET applications, specifically on IIS. Widely used, the software dives into everything including distributed transaction tracing, trace details, response time, and more. SolarWinds provides a variety of tools targeted at people who work in software infrastructure day-in day-out. It is a publicly held company, with a multitude of products of which application performance monitoring is just one.
