“Using it has been a plus”

What do you like about the vendor?

I was having a lot of production issues. I needed a software that could help me through it, and this was it. New Relic updates my server application regularly without needing my attention. It is a SaaS solution.

What do you dislike about the vendor?

The overall installation of the software is simple but there are a few difficult parts and hence it’s better to have a support agent do it.

What problems does the vendor solve for you? How does it compare to other solutions you have tried?

The software has developed over time and has become better as well. This software now helps with my error diagnosis in my production department. I am now able to identify the exact issue, its occurrence time and the relation of this occurrence with the performance fall back. I have a great advantage now to get better and grow faster.

“Worth checking out”

What do you like about the vendor?

There's a lot to like about the New Relic Agent. Installation is very simple, easy to get started and use. Very flexible and provides tons of integrations. It provides really good insights like error alerts, your app performance, and detects issues way before it becomes serious.

What do you dislike about the vendor?

The paid version is a bit pricey for a startup. A more flexible pricing option would not hurt.

What problems does the vendor solve for you? How does it compare to other solutions you have tried?

We were able to perform Quality check and control. It offers performance analysis within your fingertips. If you're looking for monitoring/alerting solution, New Relic is definitely worth checking out.

“Able to improve efficiency”

What do you like about the vendor?

It's really nice to have a monitoring application which helps you pinpoint the issue so you can resolve it quickly and efficiently. I can no longer imagine not having one!

I am dealing with transaction traces most of the time. Thus, I must say that having a monitoring application is necessary to be able to understand how the system works and what are the possible reasons for it not functioning properly as expected. It's like you must catch the problem first before your customers do.

What do you dislike about the vendor?

I don't like how they organized the UI because there are stack trace reports that are illegible. I also noticed that the charts take time to refresh and updates.

What problems does the vendor solve for you? How does it compare to other solutions you have tried?

Through the help of the New Relic, we were able to improve the efficiency of retrieving data and became more productive. It helped us see the problem right away compared to when not having this monitoring application.

“A bit expensive, but very precise”

What do you like about the vendor?

The New Relic is not complicated; in fact, it’s user-friendly and very easy to understand. It provides actual time performance report for each aspect of the environment. It's great that I'm able to see precise information about my software such as the code connections and its usage.

What do you dislike about the vendor?

The paid version is quite expensive unless you're looking for a long-term solution for your business. Also, it seems like the learning curve for new users is not reasonable. Therefore, I recommend using the free version prior to getting the paid one.

What problems does the vendor solve for you? How does it compare to other solutions you have tried?

We use the New Relic to help us prevent problems before they actually happen. We were amazed because of some instances that an issue happened which may affect the productivity of the users at that point in time, and through this tool, we were able to cut off the cause and fixed the issue quickly.

“Useful”

What do you like about the vendor?

The New Relic APM has a lot of useful tools that help you scan the performance of your application. They are like specific analysis in every performance that can quickly help you pinpoint the problems you have in certain areas, this prevents problems piling up. This software also has a live alert feature that is very useful because it gives an update even if you are not focusing on work.

What do you dislike about the vendor?

The only thing that I do not like about this software is that you have to scroll down to every historical data it has even if you are only looking for one error that happened a few days ago. And sometimes, because it has a lot of features, looking for the one you need can be very tiresome. You can't even tell if the one you're looking for exists! If you are considering this product, I suggest that you take the time exploring it first. See how many of the features it offers you will be needing. Knowing now can really help you later.

“Very Good but onerous to learn”

What do you like about the vendor?

My team has been using New Relic APM and they said it is really very easy to use. They said it has been helping them a lot especially in giving technical support to our customers. It has helped us to better understand our web infrastructure and performance. It has helped us to see the progress of our work that way we were able to catch possible errors along the way before they hit the bottom. This software has really improved the work of my technical team. And while I do not really use this software, my team has been providing me data and reports that I can easily share with the executive leadership. So far, as a new user, I really like New Relic APM a lot. And if you are looking to buy this software, just make sure you know what you need, you did your research (including talking to your people who will use it), and you have read and considered all reviews you can find.

What do you dislike about the vendor?

It is onerous to learn.

What problems does the vendor solve for you? How does it compare to other solutions you have tried?

It has helped us to better understand our web infrastructure and performance.

“Very helpful, but a bit difficult to get set up”

What do you like about the vendor?

I love the New Relic APM! It's very helpful. Helpful in the way that we
as customers are given awareness on how to save our time and money as daily business operations continue. With regards to tracking user requests, finding latency and path problems and performance congestion, we use the Distributed Tracing support.

New Relic helps a lot when looking for the specific MySql database queries that use up a lot of the CPU, especially during busy times.

What do you dislike about the vendor?

My only problem with the software is that setting it up is a complicated. It consumes a lot of my time figuring out what to do.

What problems does the vendor solve for you? How does it compare to other solutions you have tried?

Overall performance - GREAT and very useful.

What do you like about the vendor?

I like New Relic APM's ability to find traces of very slow transactions and inspecting the database queries while also noting the similarity of the CPU, memory and all servers for an application.

The pricing is reasonable considering the benefits you experience in monitoring your application.

What do you dislike about the vendor?

There can be some data accuracy losses and the general interface is slow.

What problems does the vendor solve for you? How does it compare to other solutions you have tried?

NewRelic's APM allows us to solve the problem of monitoring customer experience based on the performance of our servers

What is New Relic?

New Relic presents real-time data on application performance and is well known within the APM marketplace having a product suite including multitude of tools for DevOps teams that enable better cooperation and information sharing when assessing, adjusting, and monitoring an application’s performance. New Relic is known for being incredibly detailed, highlighting everything including transaction traces, database queries, and much more. Although pricing is not low, and many would say it is on the expensive side, New Relic does offer a trial period for 14 days to test out its products before committing to purchasing.
